Newpoint Advisory - Senior Supervisor through to Senior Manager Opportunities -, Restructuring & Risk Advisory
About Newpoint Advisory
Newpoint Advisory is a dynamic specialist advisory firm helping lenders, investors, developers and builders navigate risk and make sound credit and investment decisions across the property and construction sectors.
We help distressed businesses and assets recover and reposition, support insolvent businesses through financial distress, and provide litigation support that untangles complex financial disputes. Backed by deep property-cycle and construction expertise, we build tailored, commercial, equitable solutions - and invest in the people and systems to deliver them cost-effectively.
The Role
Senior Supervisor through to Senior Manager Opportunities - full-time, in office, Greater Sydney.
You'll help run formal insolvency processes, work on distressed property and construction businesses and assets: assess financial viability, shaping restructuring and recovery strategies, and building the financial reports and analysis that back them up. You'll support and advise stakeholders on risk and credit decisions, and work directly with lenders, investors, developers and builders to land pragmatic outcomes. We're always looking for ways to be smarter and better,
so your help to sharpen the tools and methods we use to do all of this would also be welcomed.
Who We're Looking For
We want high-energy self-starters who thrive on complex commercial problems - people who read a balance sheet the way others read a headline, and people that aren't afraid to dive into a messy situation and find the way through. Property and construction experience is a strong plus, but a sharp commercial mind with restructuring, insolvency, credit or risk management expertise matters most.
Applicants should be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
You'll likely have:
- Sharp financial analysis, modelling and valuation skills - property/construction exposure a bonus
- A background in insolvency, restructuring, turnaround or risk advisory
- An understanding of credit risk, investment analysis and commercial lending
- Confidence reading financial statements, accounts and complex contracts
- Strong writing, presentation and stakeholder skills
- Qualifications in finance, accounting, economics, law or similar; CA/CPA/CFA/ARITA highly regarded
- Advanced Excel; insolvency/case management systems experience a plus
- Genuine drive to build deep expertise in property and construction risk
