The Opportunity

As a Technical Field Engineer supporting a federal government client in Canberra, you'll play a key role in maintaining secure, reliable, and mission-critical technology environments. Working onsite, you'll support end users and infrastructure across desktop, laptop, printer, hardware, software, and networking technologies.
Every day brings a different challenge. From troubleshooting hardware faults and software issues to deploying devices and supporting Windows environments, you'll be the person customers trust to deliver effective solutions and an outstanding support experience.
This role offers excellent exposure to a variety of technologies while developing valuable field engineering and customer engagement skills.
What You'll Do
- Provide onsite technical support for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral devices.
- Investigate, diagnose, triage, and resolve technical issues in a deskside support environment.
- Install,
configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related components.
- Support users within a corporate Windows environment.
- Perform printer installation, deployment, configuration, and disposal activities.
- Build, upgrade, and diagnose PCs and associated hardware.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and maintain customer satisfaction throughout every interaction.
- Contribute to a secure, reliable, and high-performing technology environment for a federal government client.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 6 months' experience in a deskside support environment.
- Experience with fault investigation, triage, and issue resolution.
- Knowledge of desktop support, server support, hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting corporate Windows environments.
- Strong hardware diagnostic and PC build/upgrade capabilities.
- Experience with printer deployments and support activities.
- Test and Tag experience is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Active NV1 or NV2 Australian Security Clearance (mandatory).
