We are seeking an experienced and motivated Japanese Restaurant Cook to join our busy and growing team in Mount Isa, Queensland.

This is a full-time position suited to a passionate hospitality professional with strong experience in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and hot food preparation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi and hot meals
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health standards
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

Requirements





- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook in a Japanese restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and food preparation
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Solid teamwork and communication skills
