About the Role

We at Burion are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our Construction team. In this role, you will support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions, while developing your knowledge of construction costs, procurement and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with preparing quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates.
- Review construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Obtain, compare and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist with preparing tenders and EOI submissions.
- Support tender pricing, cost analysis and identification of project risks.
- Maintain accurate estimating, tender and contract documentation.
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier engagement and procurement.
- Support the team with project handovers and contract documentation once projects are awarded.
- Work collaboratively with the estimating, tendering and project delivery teams.
- Maintain awareness of current construction costs and market conditions.

About You





- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field, or currently studying.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Valuable Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
- Previous experience in construction, estimating or project administration is desirable.
- Experience with estimating software such as Cubit Select is advantageous.
