Role Description The Junior Software Developer (Entry-Level / Associate) will support the development and maintenance of software solutions and tools used by the community, with a focus on data-related applications. This part time remote role involves implementing basic features, fixing bugs, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with more experienced developers on back-end services and APIs. The developer will participate in code reviews, document technical work, and contribute to small projects that enhance the group’s platforms and resources.

The role also includes learning new technologies, following best practices, and actively engaging with the community to understand user needs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development.




- Ability to work with Programming concepts, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Basic experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development.
- Interest in data, analytics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI is a plus).
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (such as Python, C#, or JavaScript).
- Ability to learn quickly, follow coding standards, and work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in a professional context.
- Relevant academic background or equivalent practical experience in computing or related fields.
