We're looking for a passionate Diploma Qualified Lead Educator to join our Alexandra Hills team and become an important part of the next chapter of our service.

Our team is continuing to grow and achieve exciting milestones, and we're looking for a Lead Educator who wants to be part of that journey.

You'll be supported by our Centre Director, Lea, our Educational Leadership team and the wider Start Smart Early Education family — while having the freedom to make your room feel genuinely like your team's space and your children's community.

Your Role

As a Lead Educator at Smart Tots Alexandra Hills, you'll:

- Lead your room with warmth, confidence and purpose.
- Build genuine relationships with your children and truly get to know who they are.
- Create a room where children feel safe, valued, heard and excited to learn.
- Follow children's curiosity and turn their questions, interests and theories into meaningful learning.




- Encourage plenty of play, exploration, creativity and wonder.
- Lead and mentor the educators within your room, recognising and building on their individual strengths.
- Create a team culture where ideas are shared and everyone's contribution matters.
- Work alongside our Educational Leaders to reflect on and continually strengthen practice.
- Develop meaningful partnerships with families and invite them into their child's learning journey.
- Deliver high-quality educational practice aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standard.
- Advocate for children's voices and their right to experience a childhood filled with play, connection and belonging.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands that being a Lead Educator isn't about being the person who does everything. It's about helping a whole room succeed.

You might already be an experienced Lead Educator looking for a fresh start, or you might be a strong Diploma-qualified educator who's ready for someone to believe in you and give you the opportunity to lead.

You'll be someone who

- Holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Has experience leading a room or feels ready to take that next step.
- Genuinely enjoys being with children.
- Builds strong and respectful relationships with families.
- Sees children as capable, competent and full of potential.
- Enjoys sharing ideas and helping other educators grow.
- Is reflective, curious and open to trying new things.
- Brings kindness, professionalism and positivity to their team.
- Understands that some days in early childhood don't go according to plan — and that's okay.
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, a current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications and Foundations of Child Protection certificate.
