About The Role
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will be part of our Consumer Experience team, delivering creative, engaging and person-centred lifestyle programs that enhance the wellbeing of our consumers. Our team is passionate about building meaningful connections, actively listening to consumer needs and creating opportunities that enrich daily life.
In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in encouraging consumer engagement and participation through a variety of social, recreational, emotional, physical and cultural activities. By fostering inclusion, independence and wellbeing, you will help empower our consumers to live their best life.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Deliver engaging lifestyle programs by facilitating protected and meaningful group and individual activities that enhance wellbeing, independence and social connection.
- Plan and coordinate activities including preparing materials, setting up environments and supporting the ongoing development of a diverse activities program.
- Promote person-centred care by listening to consumers, respecting their choices and tailoring activities to support them to live their best life.
- Build positive consumer relationships through regular consultation, encouraging participation in decision-making and ensuring programs reflect consumer interests and needs.
- Maintain quality and compliance standards by accurately documenting activities, reporting changes in consumer wellbeing and working within legislative and organisational requirements.
This Is a Permanent Part Time Opportunity Available Offering
- 3 to 4 days per week
- Days and hours of work are negotiable across Monday to Friday
- Remuneration in accordance with the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2025 - 2027.
This role is based onsite, in Tallangatta, Victoria.
About You This role will best suit individuals who are motivated, passionate, reliable, hard-working and dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care in a fun, warm and welcoming environment. Further requirements include:
- Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, or Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care), desirable
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Team player, flexible with a positive attitude and work independently in delivering program requirements.
- Drivers license mandatory, manual and/or bus license desirable.
- Experience in the ongoing provision of a range of Lifestyle activities in an Aged Care setting is highly desirable.

About Us Tallangatta Health Service is a 61 bed, small rural public health service providing a mix of acute, sub-acute, aged care residential, and community services to Tallangatta and the surrounding district. We pride ourselves on being a customer focused, progressive provider of care to our community, patients and residents with a multidisciplinary focus All appointments are made subject to the required security screening including National Criminal History, NDIS Worker Screening checks and an immunisation status appropriate to the role, including the COVID19 and influenza vaccinations.
