Fairway Bayside Aged Care is a not-for-profit home for the elderly in Sandringham. The home was established by locals who recognised the need for a high quality aged care home in the Bayside area.

About the role:

Fairway is looking for a bright and friendly experienced Lifestyle Assistant who loves working with older people.

- Part-time and Casual shifts including weekends
- Assisting Lifestyle Manager with daily operations
- Work in a team environment to encourage and assist our residents' to socialise and participate.
- Provide emotional support to residents
- Engage with residents in a caring manner
- Facilitate group activities for the residents' to enjoy
- Able to Drive 11 seater bus
- Experience working in Dementia Care

The successful candidate will require:

- A natural empathy and a genuine care for our care recipients
- A Certificate 4 in Leisure and Lifestyle required or be studying for qualification
- Basic computer skills Microsoft word, PowerPoint and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A knowledge and understanding of the diverse needs of older people
- A willingness to support the values of Fairway Aged Care
