A well-established contractor with a strong reputation across the water and utilities sector is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join its expanding delivery team.
With a solid pipeline of secured and upcoming projects across South-East Queensland, this is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to successful completion. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining solid commercial and client outcomes.
This is a hands-on project management position where you’ll have the autonomy to influence delivery, solve problems and build lasting relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
The Role
- Managing projects from planning and procurement through to completion and handover
- Taking ownership of budgets, forecasting, cost control and overall project performance
- Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
- Building strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Managing project risks, variations, contracts and commercial outcomes
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard
- Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes and project performance
About You
- Proven experience delivering capital works within water, utilities, civil infrastructure or related sectors
- A track record of managing projects from commencement through to completion
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred
