About the company:
Our client is a major public hospital and health network servicing Adelaide’s southern suburbs and a large metropolitan population. The medical imaging department provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist diagnostic imaging services within a busy hospital environment.
Working as part of an established multidisciplinary team, you will gain exposure to a consistent flow of general radiography, trauma and emergency presentations while supporting patients across a broad range of clinical needs.
About the position:
Our client is looking for an experienced Locum General Radiographer to join our clients' team from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
This six-month placement is ideal for a Radiographer seeking the security of a longer locum contract combined with the clinical variety of a high-volume metropolitan hospital.
You will perform general diagnostic radiography across a broad caseload, including imaging for emergency and trauma presentations. The position operates on a structured rotating roster incorporating day, afternoon and night shifts, making it well suited to someone comfortable working across a 24-hour hospital imaging service.
With defined contract dates and a clearly organised roster, the role offers the opportunity to settle into the department,
build familiarity with local workflows and enjoy greater continuity than a shorter locum placement.
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
- Strong general radiography experience in a clinical setting
- Experience with trauma and emergency imaging presentations
- Confidence working independently across a varied general caseload
- Comfortable undertaking day, afternoon and night shifts
- Current South Australian radiation licence, or eligibility for mutual recognition
- Current National Police Certificate
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong communication, teamwork and patient care skills
On offer:
- Six-month locum contract from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027
- Accommodation reimbursement of up to $220 per night
- Return travel reimbursement of up to $1,500
- Clearly structured rotating roster
- Broad exposure to general, trauma and emergency radiography
- Experience within a high-volume metropolitan public hospital
- Greater stability and continuity than a short-term locum assignment
- Support throughout the coordination of your locum placement
