About the role

Adventist Aged Care has a casual Maintenance position available at Kings Langley, working 2–3 days per week. The successful applicant will be responsible for general maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds. This is a casual, project-based position and is not a full-time role.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake maintenance jobs, including those requiring carpentry skills
- Take on project work requiring the ability to work autonomously
- Respond to maintenance requests with a sense of urgency
- Maintain and repair equipment and grounds in a secure working environment
- Undertake routine maintenance works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor when required
- Perform other maintenance duties and tasks not limited to those listed above

About you

- Understanding of corrective and preventive maintenance programs




- Understanding of chemical handling and storage
- Knowledge of how to safely use and store gases and flammable products
- Willingness to learn and be taught on the job
- Willing and helpful attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and deal kindly and positively with a wide range of people in day-to-day working conditions, particularly within an elderly resident environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Positive approach and willingness to learn
- Good level of physical fitness
- Trade certificate ideal. In-depth experience will also look upon favourably.
