This role is critical in ensuring solid financial controls, reliable reporting, and proactive cash flow oversight across multiple projects.
About the role
As Management Accountant at Cachet Group, you’ll deliver accurate day-to-day finance operations, oversee month-end processes, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management while working closely with the Group Financial Controller, Managing Director, General Managers, and Project Teams. You’ll also lead and support offshore Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members, helping drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across finance operations
Key responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely day-to-day finance operations across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Supervise and support offshore team members, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Review supplier invoices, manage payment runs, monitor aging reports, and respond to supplier queries.
- Partner with Project Managers and the Delivery team to issue accurate progress claims and client invoices aligned within agreed contract terms.
- Proactively manage accounts receivable, including follow-ups, forecasting, and escalation where required.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor forecast accuracy, identifying potential risks early.
- Complete month-end close activities, including WIP reports, margin analysis, month end journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and third-party partners.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting across the group.
About you You’re a pragmatic, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced project environment. You bring a calm, organised, and analytical approach, with the confidence to manage priorities, communicate clearly, and support both operational and strategic finance outcomes.
- Fully qualified or finalist / part-qualified accountant (CA / CPA)
- Over 5 years proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role within project-based environments.
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, cash flow forecasting, and month-end processes.
- Excellent business literacy and numeracy, with a focus on accurate and timely reporting.
- Confident and clear communicator with strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work autonomously while collaborating with wider teams.
- Comfortable managing offshore team members and supporting their development.
- High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
