We are currently looking for a Kitchen Hands and Cooks to join our client’s team in Bathurst. This varied position will suit someone who is reliable, practical and enjoys working in a team environment while also being able to work independently.

A Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory for this position.

You’ll play an important role in preparing meals, supporting day-to-day kitchen operations and ensuring shared spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Hand and/or Cook, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and cooking meals while adhering to food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Assisting with food preparation, meal service and day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Washing and cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining clean and hygienic kitchen, dining and food preparation areas.
- Undertaking general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and waste removal.
- Following all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)



procedures and requirements.
- Assisting with stock rotation and keeping kitchen supplies organised.
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and ensuring they are stored appropriately.
- Working effectively as part of a team while being comfortable working independently.
- Helping maintain a welcoming, safe and positive environment for all.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A paid WWCC
- Previous experience in kitchen, cooking, hospitality or a similar environment.
- An understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- The ability to work efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable, positive and can-do attitude.
