Local Land Services is seeking a proactive and media-savvy Media & Public Affairs Officer to join the Office of the CEO. In this role, you'll provide strategic media and public affairs support that helps inform NSW landholders, stakeholders and the broader community, while enhancing the reputation of Local Land Services.

About the role

Working closely with leaders, communications professionals and stakeholders across the organisation, you will:

- Develop and deliver proactive and reactive media activities and campaigns
- Create engaging media releases, speeches, briefings and communication materials
- Provide strategic advice on media issues and stakeholder engagement
- Coordinate media opportunities, launches, events and Ministerial visits
- Build strong relationships with media representatives, industry stakeholders and internal clients
- Support the management of emerging and sensitive issues across the organisation
- Participate in an after-hours media on-call roster as required.

About you You are a confident communicator with experience in journalism, media relations, communications or public affairs.



You can quickly interpret complex information, develop transparent messaging and build credibility with a diverse range of stakeholders.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing media and communication products for varied audiences
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- Sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and a current driver's licence.
