About the role

Hillcrest Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team.

Based in Hillcrest, you'll be the face that welcomes our patients and helps create a positive experience from the moment they arrive. As the first point of contact, you'll play an important role in keeping our reception running smoothly while providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to both patients and our clinical team.

This position is available as either a casual or permanent part-time role, offering approximately 25 hours per week. Additional hours may be available from time to time to provide cover during staff leave.

We're looking for a flexible and reliable team member who is also available to work occasional Saturdays as required.

Key responsibilities

Greeting patients in a courteous and professional manner upon arrival at the clinic

Answering telephone enquiries

Managing patient check-ins and check-outs,



including verifying personal information

Scheduling and confirming patient appointments using our practice management system

Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical files as required

Complete Doctor requested clinical follow-ups

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administration role

Experience with medical billing

Ability to multitask in a busy environment

Solid proficiency with medical practice management software and general computer literacy

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patients and staff

Attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential patient information A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care

Reliability and punctuality, flexibility to cover other staff when on leave
