About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Fitter who enjoys the customer and commercial side of the industry just as much as being on the tools.

You'll join a newly established mobile hydraulics operation backed by a well-known equipment group. The position will involve completing hands-on hydraulic work while developing customer relationships, identifying opportunities and bringing new business into the operation.

This won't be a traditional fitting role where work is simply allocated to you each day. You'll have the autonomy to develop your own client base, generate ongoing work and help shape the position as the business grows.

It would suit someone with strong hydraulic knowledge who already has sales or business development experience and is looking for an opportunity they can make their own.

- Full-time position with a salary of approximately $95,000

The Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Completing mobile hydraulic fitting, servicing and repair work
- Diagnosing hydraulic faults and recommending suitable solutions
- Building relationships with new and existing customers
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Developing your own client network and generating ongoing work
- Promoting the company's mobile hydraulic services
- Following up leads and maintaining regular contact with customers
- Managing the technical and commercial sides of customer relationships
- Working with the wider business to support the growth of the new operation




- Providing a high level of service from the initial enquiry through to completion

About You

You'll ideally have

- A mechanical trade qualification with strong hydraulic experience
- Previous experience in mobile hydraulic service or field-based repairs
- Sales, account management or business development experience
- An existing industry network or the confidence to build one
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- A practical understanding of customer requirements and hydraulic solutions
- The confidence to approach potential customers and generate new work
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own time
- A current driver's licence
- A motivated and commercially focused approach

This position could suit an experienced Hydraulic Fitter who has moved into sales, a technical BDM who wants to remain hands-on or a strong field service fitter who already generates work through their customer relationships.
