Music Tutors Wanted – Piano & Guitar

Sarah’s Music Academy is growing, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and passionate music tutors to join our friendly and supportive teaching team.

We currently have multiple opportunities available:

Monday – Guitar Teacher

- Guitar teaching
- Monday afternoon/evening availability
- Teaching children, teens and adults

Wednesday & Thursday – Piano and Guitar Teacher
- Piano and/or guitar teaching
- Wednesday and Thursday afternoon/evening availability
- Applicants who can teach both piano and guitar are highly encouraged to apply
- Teaching children, teens and adults

About the Position

- $28–$40 per hour plus superannuation, based on experience and teaching ability
- Subcontractor position
- Flexible after-school and evening hours
- Steady students provided – no need to source your own students
- Admin, scheduling and student management handled by the academy
- Opportunities to build your timetable over time
- Friendly and supportive teaching environment
- Opportunities to be involved in student performances, bands, workshops and concerts

About You We’re looking for tutors who:

- Can confidently teach their instrument
- Are passionate about music and teaching
- Enjoy working with children and young people
- Are friendly, reliable and organised
- Can work independently




- Are committed to providing engaging and enjoyable lessons
- Are available for consistent weekly teaching

Teaching experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. Current music students, graduates and experienced musicians are welcome to apply.

Requirements

- Right to work in Australia
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one)
- Driver licence preferred
- Strong musical ability on your instrument

About Sarah’s Music Academy Sarah’s Music Academy is a growing independent music school providing in-person lessons to students of all ages and abilities.

We focus on creating a positive, encouraging and enjoyable learning setting where students can develop their musical skills and confidence.

Our teachers are supported with administration and scheduling, allowing them to focus on what they do best – teaching music.
