Production Worker – Forklift Licence

Workfast is seeking reliable and experienced Production Workers with a forklift licence to join a busy hot-dip galvanising plant in Campbellfield, VIC.

This is an on-call position, with shifts ranging from 6–10 hours. Applicants must be flexible and available to work 3–5 days per week, with start times between 5:00 am and 10:00 am.

Shift Hours

- Shift 4:00am - 10:00am
- Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Shift 5:30am - 2:00pm
- Shift 10:00am - 6:30pm overtime till 8 pm
- Shift 3pm - 11:30pm

About the Role As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the galvanising plant and ensuring production activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include

- Working overtime and weekends when required
- Operating a forklift as required
- Assisting across various areas of the production facility
- Loading and unloading steel products onto overhead hoists or conveyors
- Preparing and wiring steel products prior to the galvanising process
- Finishing coated steel products using hand tools, grinders, or polishers
- Conducting quality checks and packaging finished products
- Maintaining a clean, organised, safe, and efficient work environment
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and operational requirements





About You To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Previous experience in a galvanising, metal coating, manufacturing, or factory production environment
- A current forklift licence
- The ability to safely lift steel products weighing up to 20kg
- A strong understanding of secure work practices within a manufacturing environment
- A reliable and punctual approach to work, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
- The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Full working rights in Australia with no restrictions
