At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to creating a thriving community hub that enhances health, connection and liveability across Alkimos and the surrounding northern corridor. Through aquatics, learn-to-swim, health and fitness, indoor sports and community recreation, the Centre will create opportunities for everyone to participate, belong and thrive.

As part of our foundation team, you'll have the unique opportunity to help establish the Centre's culture, programs and customer experience from day one, guided by BlueFit's proven operating systems and commitment to excellence.

What the Role is Really About

As our Operations Manager, you are the backbone of site safety and day-to-day facility execution. Working hand-in-hand with the leadership team, you'll lead our operational teams, oversee pool plant maintenance, manage risk and compliance, and make sure every visit to AARC is safe, clean, and welcoming.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

- Pre-Opening Readiness: Drive operational setup, pool plant commissioning, safety systems, and recruitment for lifeguards and duty managers ahead of our November grand opening.
- Deck Leadership: Lead from the front by being present across the wet and dry areas—coaching duty managers, mentoring lifeguards, and keeping team energy high.
- Uncompromising Site Safety: Take full ownership of risk assessments, water quality, pool plant operations, and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) so our community always feels secure.
- Team Development: Build a supportive,



positive culture for our casual and permanent operational staff, empowering them to grow their careers with BlueFit.
- Seamless Operations: Ensure facilities, equipment, and plant infrastructure are maintained to the highest industry standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

- Hands-On Leadership: You’re an approachable leader who leads by example on the pool deck and around the venue rather than sitting behind a desk.
- Aquatic & Operational Expertise: Proven background in aquatic operations, pool plant management, risk control, and staff scheduling.
- Community & Safety Focus: Genuine care for people combined with a rigorous, zero-tolerance approach to site safety and child protection.
- Strong Communication: Ability to engage effectively with site staff, facility leadership, contractors, and local facility visitors.

- Essential Requirements:
- Pool Operations / Plant Management Certification
- Pool Lifeguard Certification & Senior First Aid / CPR
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
