WRK4CE is seeking a passionate and experienced Podiatrist for a permanent prospect based on the Gold Coast, with opportunities to deliver services across regional, rural and remote communities in Queensland and the Northern Territory. This is an ideal opportunity for a Podiatrist looking for variety, flexibility and the chance to make a genuine impact in communities where access to allied health services can be limited.
About the Role
As a Podiatrist, you'll provide comprehensive, evidence-based podiatry services across a broad range of clinical conditions, complexities and age groups. This is a varied role combining in-person and virtual podiatry services, with opportunities to work across clinics, clients' homes and community settings. You'll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary allied health team while helping improve access to quality healthcare in regional, rural and remote communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver generalist podiatry services both in person and via telehealth
- Conduct comprehensive foot risk assessments and provide recommendations and treatment plans
- Work with clients, families, carers, community groups and other health professionals
- Work across clinic, home and community-based settings
- Support clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including First Nations communities
- Contribute to innovative virtual health and allied health service models
- Provide supervision and delegation to Allied Health Assistants where appropriate
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
About You
- A tertiary degree or equivalent qualification in Podiatry
- Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration
- Ideally 2+ years' clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment,
decision-making and documentation skills
- Ability to independently manage and prioritise a caseload
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- An interest in rural and remote healthcare and working respectfully with diverse communities
- Current valid driver's licence (Australian or overseas licence, with eligibility to drive in Australia)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain these
- Willingness to travel when required, including occasional overnight stays in regional and remote locations
- Willingness to travel by road and small planes when required
