About the role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Como GP and work closely with our Practice Directors, doctors, nurses and administration team.

Key responsibilities

- Providing overall leadership, supervision and management of the practice
- Supporting a positive, collaborative and professional workplace culture
- Driving continuous quality improvement across the practice
- Developing, reviewing and maintaining practice policies and procedures
- Coordinating medical, clinical and stationery supplies
- Managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance appraisals and conflict resolution
- Preparing and overseeing staff rosters
- Coordinating and chairing staff and clinical meetings
- Overseeing financial management, including budgets, payroll, financial planning, accounts and debt recovery
- Working closely with the external bookkeeper to oversee accounts and financial reporting

About you

- Has previous experience in Practice Management
- Is available full-time or part-time, with a minimum of three days per week
- Is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of their role




- Has demonstrated experience managing staff, including recruitment, performance management and conflict resolution
- Has a sound understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), Practice Incentives Program (PIP), Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) and PIP Quality Improvement Incentive (PIP QI)
- Has solid computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Holds a current C Class driver's license
- Communicates confidently and professionally with doctors, staff, patients and external providers
- Enjoys identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall running of a practice
