About the Role

We are seeking a Product Designer – Global Markets | Payments to join KPay Australia’s Product team and help shape how our payment and business products are experienced by merchants around the world. This is an exciting opportunity for a 1–3 year Product Designer looking for real ownership, international exposure, and the opportunity to work on products used by thousands of businesses.

Based in Australia, you'll bring a strong understanding of Australian and Western user expectations into product decisions, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers in Hong Kong. You'll contribute across the full product lifecycle, from research and discovery through to design, launch, and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & UX

- Design end-to-end flows and features for merchant-facing payment and business products
- Create intuitive, simple, and visually polished experiences
- Develop user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to bring designs to production

Global Markets & Customer Experience

- Bring the Australian and Western market perspective into product decisions
- Identify where UX, language, tone, or visual design may not resonate with target markets
- Conduct merchant interviews, concept testing, and usability research
- Turn customer insights into actionable product improvements
- Help ensure products feel professional, trustworthy,



and easy to use

Content & Accessibility

- Own the English source experience, including interface copy, terminology, hierarchy, and error states
- Design with localisation and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards in mind

Collaboration

- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams across Australia and Hong Kong
- Participate in design reviews and regular critique with senior designers
- Clearly communicate your design thinking and decisions
- Balance customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and design quality
- Build a strong understanding of payments, including hardware, settlement, regulation, and risk

What We're Looking For

- 1–3 years of experience designing digital products, or equivalent portfolio experience
- A strong portfolio showing your thinking and problem-solving, not just final screens
- Strong understanding of Western product conventions and user expectations
- Strong interaction and visual design skills
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Confidence to challenge ideas and communicate your perspective
- Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity

Preferred

- Experience with B2B, SaaS, fintech, payments, or transactional products
- Experience with user research or usability testing
- Experience designing for multiple markets or localisation
- Familiarity with accessibility and design systems
- Interest in fintech and emerging technology
