We are recruiting for a Project Engineer – Electrical to join a growing EPC contractor delivering major renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects across Australia.

This role will support the electrical engineering delivery of projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and energisation. Working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, design consultants, OEMs and internal engineering functions, you will help coordinate technical requirements, resolve construction issues and ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications, quality requirements and relevant Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of electrical engineering activities across renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate engineering requirements between design, construction, subcontractor, supplier and commissioning teams.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, cable schedules and technical documentation prior to and during construction.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, design changes and engineering documentation.
- Support the preparation and review of ITPs, ITRs, QA packs, test plans, NCRs and as-built documentation.
- Monitor electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications and applicable standards.
- Provide engineering support across HV substations, electrical balance of plant, cabling, earthing, protection and control and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Identify technical and construction risks and assist in developing practical engineering solutions.
- Liaise with subcontractors,



OEMs and suppliers regarding technical requirements, equipment, quality and programme.
- Support FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning and energisation activities where required.
- Assist with site inspections, quality audits and verification of completed electrical works.
- Support project reporting, planning and coordination of engineering activities.
- Provide technical input into procurement, variations and project close-out where required

Key Requirements

- Previous experience in a Project Engineer or Site Engineer position within construction on renewable energy, power or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Practical experience supporting electrical construction packages across BESS, solar, HV substations and/or associated electrical infrastructure.
- Positive understanding of HV electrical infrastructure, electrical balance of plant, cabling, earthing and associated electrical systems.
- Experience working with electrical drawings, specifications, cable schedules and construction documentation.
- Good understanding of QA/QC processes and electrical project quality requirements.
- Experience managing RFIs, technical queries, design changes and as-built documentation.
- Exposure to testing, commissioning, energisation and FAT/SAT activities would be highly regarded.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with construction teams, designers, subcontractors, OEMs and other project stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Australian Standards and electrical construction best practice.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
