We are on the hunt for a highly self-motivated and curious Project Engineer to join our Melbourne team.

You will be responsible for managing both the strategic and day to day project planning and engineering initiatives. The majority of the projects will be focused on capital automation, process reengineering, new product line design and automation/expansion activities.

A normal day in the role of the Project Engineer includes:

- Identifying problems or opportunities to support the increased efficiency of manufacturing and operations
- Performing overall quality control (budgets, schedules, plans) and report regularly on projects status
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects
- Interacting daily with internal stakeholders to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the projects
- Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating appropriate corrective actions
- Making recommendations of necessary action plans and ensuring accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout projects




- Communicating to management as needed on major projects in the business
- Establishing relationships with operations management to facilitate the coordination and execution of project work
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications

To be in the running for this role, you should have:

- A degree qualification in Engineering
- Demonstrated Project Engineering experience
- Strong understanding of FMCG manufacturing operations and requirements within project environments
- Experience working cross functionally with engineering, operations, quality, procurement and other stakeholders
- Food industry experience is preferred
- A passion for culture!
- Initiative! You are autonomous and a self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An open, curious and optimistic outlook; you’re a problem solver
- A genuine passion for making a difference to help improve the way our customers work
- Excitement to learn and be exposed to different capabilities and experiences within the business
