As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant Team Lead to drive the performance and expansion of our Project Management Consulting team.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced project management professional who combines technical excellence with commercial acumen and a passion for developing people.

Reporting to the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the Project Management Consulting division while overseeing the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and capital works projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to tenders and proposals
- Providing strategic oversight of project delivery, ensuring engineering, procurement and construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and environmental requirements
- Acting as a trusted advisor to government authorities, developers, asset owners and community stakeholders




- Managing the department's financial performance, including P&L; accountability, resource utilisation and project profitability
- Building, mentoring and leading a high-performing team of project managers, commercial managers, schedulers and technical specialists
- Driving continuous improvement across project management systems, methodologies and delivery practices
- Maintaining strong governance across the project portfolio to ensure quality outcomes for clients

About You

You are an accomplished or emerging leader with a strong reputation for delivering major infrastructure or capital works projects and developing high-performing consulting teams.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

- 5+ years' experience in capital works, infrastructure delivery or engineering consulting
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, stage-gate governance, project controls, procurement and construction delivery
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial outcomes, departmental budgets and resource planning
- A sound understanding of Australian construction contracts, including AS and NEC contract frameworks




- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with the ability to influence senior clients and project partners
- A collaborative leadership style with proven experience coaching, mentoring and developing teams
- A strategic mindset supported by strong commercial judgement and excellent communication skills
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Professional certification such as PMP, Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), or Chartered status with Engineers Australia or an equivalent professional body
