About the Role
This role supports the delivery of a narrowband satellite communications capability program, giving Australian industry the chance to contribute to missions that both build domestic industrial capacity and deliver real capability to Defence. The position spans procurement and tender support, technical risk reduction activity, and industry engagement across alternative solutions.
Key Project Activities
- Capability development in support of government submissions.
- Request for Tender activities, including review of tender responses.
- Progress delivery of capability elements, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support.
- Drive risk reduction activities in collaboration with Defence science and space agency partners,
including technical risk reduction supporting non-geostationary narrowband satellite communications.
- Industry engagement: facilitate workshops on Australian industrial capacity, develop approach-to-market strategy for industry partners, and support procurement activities.
Essential Skills Required
- Minimum NV1 Clearance
- Project Management.
- Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) element management experience.
- Stakeholder coordination across Defence, industry, and international partners.
Desirable
- SATCOM experience.
- Space technology experience.
- ICT/network technology experience.
- Defence facilities experience.
