Consultive is proud to be partnering with a highly respected Tier 2 commercial builder to appoint a Project Manager for their growing Victorian operations.

With a strong pipeline of work secured across education, community, government and commercial projects, our client is seeking a Project Manager who brings a genuine understanding of building services and how they influence successful project delivery.

This is an opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day delivery of projects, not someone who prefers to manage from behind a desk.

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have developed their careers within commercial construction, mechanical contracting or electrical contracting environments and have a proven ability to drive outcomes on site.

About the Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from commencement through to practical completion, ensuring programme, financial, safety and quality objectives are achieved.

While this is a Project Management position, the successful candidate will have a strong appreciation for the importance of services coordination and understand how to successfully manage complex mechanical and electrical packages within live project environments.

This role will suit a hands-on operator who enjoys working closely with Site Managers, consultants and subcontractors to keep projects moving.

Responsibilities:

- End-to-end management of commercial construction projects
- Managing project programmes and key milestones
- Procurement and subcontractor engagement




- Financial management, forecasting and reporting
- Driving design and services coordination activities
- Managing project risks and resolving delivery challenges
- Coordinating consultants, authorities and project stakeholders
- Working closely with site teams to ensure delivery objectives are achieved
- Leading commissioning, practical completion and handover activities
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships

About You Our client is looking for a Project Manager who understands the practical realities of construction delivery and can confidently lead projects through critical services and programme challenges.

Candidates with backgrounds working for commercial builders, mechanical contractors or electrical contractors are strongly encouraged to apply. To be successful, you'll bring:
