WHY JANE?

Jane Doe Creation is an independent creative agency based in North Sydney.

We’re built around Creative Realism™, ambitious creative thinking grounded in what people actually do, want and care about.

We’re deliberately not a traditional agency structure. Our clients know our team. Our Project Managers understand the creative. Our creatives understand the commercial reality. Everyone has a voice and everyone takes ownership. You’ll be dedicated to one of our largest clients, QIC, with the prospect to build deep relationships while working across an unusually broad mix of national and local creative.

We’re forward-thinking about the way agencies work and actively embracing AI and new technology to make us smarter, faster and more creative. You’ll work from our North Sydney office 2–3 days a week, with flexibility around the rest.

Know the client. Know the work. Make it happen.

Great creative needs someone who can make it happen.

Jane is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team, working exclusively across the QIC shopping centre portfolio. You’ll sit at the centre of the relationship between client, creative and production, managing everything from major national campaigns to individual centre briefs and fast-moving retail content.

This isn’t a role for someone who just moves jobs through a system. We want someone who knows the client, understands the work, watches the budget, sees what’s coming and gets the right people moving at the right time. You’ll need exceptional people skills, commercial confidence and a strong understanding of the creative and production process.

And because retail moves quickly, you’ll need to as well.

THE ROLE

You’ll

- Be a key day-to-day contact for QIC and its centre marketing teams
- Build genuine, trusted client relationships
- Understand the client’s business, not just their briefs
- Manage national campaigns and individual centre projects from brief to delivery
- Turn client briefs into clear scopes, timelines, deliverables and actions
- Manage project schedules and workflow across the creative team
- Traffic work and keep multiple projects moving simultaneously
- Coordinate creative, design, copy, finished art, production and external suppliers
- Understand photography, video and content production and manage the process from pre-production through to delivery
- Manage feedback, approvals and changing priorities
- Build and track estimates, budgets, POs and supplier costs
- Understand scope, margin and the commercial implications of project decisions
- Know where every project stands and what needs to happen next
- Use AI tools to improve workflows, research, planning and efficiency
- Work confidently in Canva and understand how templates and toolkits are built for clients
- Identify opportunities within existing client relationships
- Support new business, pitches and growth opportunities
- Work closely with the creative team to protect both the quality of the work and the commercial realities behind it

SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Client & Account Management:

You’re confident with clients and know how to build relationships that last.

Project Management: You can manage multiple moving pieces without losing sight of the detail or the bigger picture.

Production: You understand what it takes to produce photography, video, social, digital and integrated campaign work.

Traffic: You know who’s doing what, what’s due when and where the pressure points are.

Commercial understanding: You understand scope, estimates, suppliers, costs and profitability.

Budget management: You’re comfortable building, tracking and reconciling budgets.

AI: You actively use AI tools and are interested in finding smarter ways to work.

Canva: You’re confident in Canva and comfortable working with templates, presentations and client-facing assets.

New business: You can spot an opportunity, help grow an account and contribute to pitches and proposals.

People: You’re excellent with people. You can manage clients, creatives and suppliers with confidence, warmth and clarity.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you have 4+ years’ experience in project management, account management or integrated production within a creative agency or similar environment.

Experience in retail, fashion, lifestyle or consumer brands is highly valued. You have a natural interest in fashion, retail and culture and understand that shopping centres move at the pace of what’s happening right now.

You’re commercially switched on, highly organised and forward-thinking. You don’t wait for a problem to land. You see it coming. You’re comfortable having a conversation about an idea with a creative one minute, a budget with a client the next and a production deadline with a supplier five minutes later.

And through all of it, you’re great with people.
