- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $112,375 to $124,158 + super

Our Biodiversity Licensing and Programs team is currently seeking expressions of interest for a Project Officer to support assessment of impacts to biodiversity and work across a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to regulation of activities that may harm native species and habitat. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional to play a key role in licence application assessment, project planning, coordination, reporting and stakeholder engagement within the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Setting and Water (DCCEEW).

The team has been newly established to provide a consolidated approach to regulating biodiversity management and will be overseeing significant and exciting reforms. The role offers opportunity for input in assessment of the licensing functions while supporting the successful delivery of priority programs.

Working within a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will partner with internal stakeholders and contribute to projects that deliver meaningful environmental and community outcomes across NSW.

About You

We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

- Experience supporting projects, programs, regulatory functions or governance activities.
- Strong written communication skills,



including the ability to prepare reports, briefs and stakeholder correspondence.
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, procedures or compliance frameworks.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and providing high-quality customer service
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in environmental management, biodiversity conservation, wildlife management, compliance, licensing or a related field will be highly regarded.
