Cook Shire Council is looking for a Property and Land Tenure Support Officer to join our Planning and Workplace team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge and experience across property management, leases and tenancies, land tenure, trustee land and Native Title while supporting work that has a real impact across our community.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the Property and Development Compliance Coordinator, you'll provide high-level administrative and coordination support across Council's property and land tenure functions.

- Support the administration of Council's property, tenancy and lease portfolio
- Maintain accurate property, lease and tenancy registers and records
- Research property and land tenure matters
- Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes and other documentation
- Assist with Native Title matters and Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs)
- Liaise with tenants, lessees, Council officers, State Government agencies, consultants and other stakeholders

No two days will necessarily look the same!

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is extremely organised, proactive and has a high attention to detail.

- Qualification and/or experience in business administration, office management or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills




- Strong Microsoft Office and records management skills
- Current Qld Class 'C' drivers licence

$83,610 per annum

Leave Entitlements

5 weeks annual leave per annum

15 days personal leave per annum

9 day fortnight

12% Superannuation contributions
