At Melbourne Wellbeing Group (MWG), we're proud to offer a professional, supportive, and flexible environment where clinicians can genuinely thrive — both personally and professionally. Here's what our team have to say about working with us:
"It feels really good to be part of a well-established team that genuinely prioritises client care and advocacy. Having strong support from our client relationship team and my colleagues allows me to explore and develop my own interests and goals. Supervision and training help me continue growing, and I love that I also get to support others through supervision. The culture here is professional, relaxed, and incredibly supportive." — Senior Psychologist
About the Role
This role is for a Registered Psychologist (full registration through AHPRA) looking to work across the age range, and across a broad range of clinical presentations, including Anxiety and Mood Disorders, OCD, and co-occuring conditions such as Eating Disorders, ADHD, Autism, OCPD, Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours, Trauma, as well as a host of other clinical presentations. You'll have the flexibility to tailor your caseload to your interests. The position is offered under a contracting arrangement. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to scale your income based on experience and expertise in our area of practice. Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 2 days per week.
Why Join MWG?
An established referral network and consistent client referrals We have well-established referral pathways and a strong flow of enquiries, allowing clinicians to build and maintain a consistent caseload without needing to source their own referrals.
Excellent administrative support
Our dedicated Client Relationship Team manages bookings, client enquiries and day-to-day administrative support, allowing you to spend more of your time focused on clinical work.
Genuine clinical support and supervision
You’ll have access to individual supervision with senior clinicians and Board-approved supervisors, as well as peer supervision and ongoing opportunities to consult with an experienced team.
Extensive OCD training included
MWG has a particular niche in working with people and families impacted by OCD and related conditions. Clinicians joining our team have access to approximately 15–20 hours of self-paced OCD training, alongside supervision and support to develop their confidence working in this area.
You don’t need to come to us as an OCD specialist — we can help you develop those skills.
Ongoing professional development
We run regular professional development evenings throughout the year and actively support clinicians to continue developing their areas of interest and expertise.
Flexibility to build the work you enjoy
We encourage clinicians to develop their own professional interests. This may include group programmes, workshops, supervision, assessment work, research, podcast involvement or leadership opportunities.
A diverse caseload
Work across a broad range of clinical presentations and age groups, with flexibility to shape your caseload according to your interests and experience.
Comprehensive assessment resources
Our clinicians have access to an extensive psychological assessment test library to support assessment work.
A beautiful place to work
Our consulting rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed and filled with natural light.
We want the practice to feel positive for both our clients and our clinicians.
A team you can actually be part of
Private practice doesn’t have to mean practising in isolation. MWG is a warm, professional and collaborative team where clinicians can work autonomously while still having colleagues around them for consultation, support and connection.
