Role Description This part-time remote role for a QA Tester / Automation Engineer focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software and digital tools used in research and organizational projects. On a day-to-day basis, the QA qualified will design, execute, and document test cases, perform manual testing, and help identify defects and areas for improvement. The role includes analyzing test results, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and contributing to test plans and quality assurance processes.
Depending on project needs, the QA Tester / Automation Engineer may also assist in setting up or refining test automation frameworks, improving testing efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement of digital solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance background, including experience with Manual Testing and Test Cases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Test Execution and Analytical Skills to identify, document, and track issues.
- Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is beneficial.
- Ability to write clear defect reports, test documentation, and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams with strong self-management and time-management skills.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and common testing methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and interest in supporting research- or mission-driven projects.
