Remuneration: $81,748.17 - $114,771.98 per annum

Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

Location: Westmead Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

What You'll Be Doing As a Registered Nurse in NICU, you will provide patient-centred nursing care in accordance with individual care plans, clinical standards and NSW Health policies. You will use your clinical judgement and observation skills to recognise changes in patient condition,



respond appropriately and escalate concerns when required.

You Will Also

- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to support safe and optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and recognise changes in clinical condition, responding promptly and escalating concerns to senior nursing and medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and a culture of clinical excellence and patient safety.
- Support and share knowledge with junior nurses, students and other members of the nursing team while maintaining your own professional development.

Essential Criteria

- Current enrollment with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Vaccination Category A

Selection Criteria

- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated neonatal intensive care or critical care nursing experience, including experience caring for ventilated neonates.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centred care within a complex clinical environment.




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute positively to team outcomes.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing clinical demands while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including the ability to accurately use relevant health information systems and maintain clinical documentation.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, clinical learning and maintaining contemporary nursing practice.
