Job Brief
We are looking for an experienced roofers and labourers to join our team. You’ll construct secure and durable roofs and fix damaged parts such as, for example, broken tiles, gutters etc.
To succeed in this role, you should have the ability to use hand tools, safety equipment, and stand on ladders and scaffolds. You’ll also know how to handle materials for different roofing styles and tasks.
Responsibilities - Roofer
- Build and repair roofs using various materials and tools.
- Deliver projects within timeline.
- Inspect damages and report required work.
- Critically inspecting a room to determine the best repair or replacement procedure for it.
- Customizing materials for individual roofs.
- Inspecting the work area to ensure that all required materials are present.
- Repair or replace broken materials.
- Remove debris from roofs to place materials.
- Ensure roofs protect buildings from weather conditions, such as rain or storm.
- Use hand tools and other equipment (e.g., scaffold, ladder)
- Follow safety rules.
- Set up barriers.
- Clean blocked gutters and downpipes.
- Ensuring that the job location is neat and safe by cleaning it up once the job is completed.
- Take proper before and after pictures of the work done on each job site.
- Complete and submit safety documentation for each job.
Requirements And Skills
- Experience as a roofer or a similar role in construction.
- Excellent carpentry skills.
- Experience using various hand tools and equipment,
such as scaffolds, taking safety rules into consideration.
- Physical strength and good balance since the job requires many physical requirements such as the ability to lift heavy materials and withstand extensive bending, kneeling, and harsh weather conditions.
- The ability to strictly adhere to construction safety.
- Ability to work at heights for long hours.
- An apprenticeship or license in roofing or relevant field is a plus but not necessary.
- Have your own vehicle (preferably a UTE) to carry job materials and ladders.
Mandatory Requirements
- Construction White Card
- Valid Driver’s License
- Working at heights qualification (certificate or license)
- Police clearance check (within last 12 months)
- Roofing Qualification (preferred but not necessary)
