Recent Piece Furniture – Alexandria, Sydney

New Piece is a design-led furniture brand founded by designers, working with emerging Australian and Asian studios to create original pieces for contemporary living.

We’re looking for an experienced Part-Time Sales Consultant to join our Alexandria showroom, primarily working Saturdays and Sundays.

We’re looking for someone who loves design, enjoys talking to people, and is genuinely motivated by sales results. This is a client-facing, sales-driven role suited to someone who values great service, takes ownership of their sales performance, and is confident turning enquiries into sales.

What you’ll do

- Represent New Piece in our Alexandria showroom
- Guide customers through furniture selections, layouts, materials, finishes, and styling
- Proactively engage with showroom visitors and identify sales opportunities
- Convert enquiries into sales and work towards monthly sales targets
- Work with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and trade clients
- Prepare quotes and follow up leads consistently
- Manage customer enquiries and orders from initial contact through to completion
- Use Shopify and CRM systems to manage orders, customer information, leads, and follow-ups
- Build long-term client relationships while actively driving sales
- Maintain a high standard of showroom presentation




- Work confidently and independently during weekend showroom hours

Who we’re looking for

- Previous furniture sales experience is required
- Strong understanding of furniture, materials, finishes, dimensions, and the sales process
- Proven ability to build relationships, follow up leads, and close sales
- Comfortable working with KPIs, monthly sales targets, and sales performance goals
- Experience using Shopify and CRM systems
- Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
- Self-motivated, organised, proactive, and consistent with follow-ups
- Able to work independently and take ownership of showroom sales
- Genuine passion for contemporary furniture, interiors, and design-led brands
- A background in interior design, furniture design, architecture, or a related design field is highly preferred
