IM Partners | Adelaide SAPermanent Full Time
n
IM Partners is growing, and we're looking for an experienced WHS Officer / Return to Work Coordinator to join our existing WHS team.
n
This is a newly created role supporting a group of established South Australian commercial and residential construction businesses.
n
You'll work closely with management, project teams, supervisors, workers and contractors across offices, operational facilities and live construction sites.
n
This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting out into the business, understanding how work is actually being performed and helping teams implement practical, workable safety solutions.
n
You'll also take an active role in injury management and return to work, liaising with employees, managers, treating doctors and allied health providers to support safe and sustainable outcomes.
n
The role
n
n
- conducting site and workplace inspections and supporting practical risk management
n
- providing day-to-day WHS advice to managers, project teams and workers
n
- developing and reviewing SWMS, risk assessments and other WHS documentation
n
- supporting incident investigations, corrective actions and WHS compliance
n
- contractor onboarding, compliance and ongoing management
n
- coordinating WHS inductions, toolbox talks and training
n
- maintaining WHS systems, registers and compliance records
n
- coordinating injury management, suitable duties and return-to-work matters.
n
n
These responsibilities align with the existing WHS Officer scope around compliance, training, incident management, inspections,
SWMS and WHS documentation.
n
About you
n
n
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
n
- current South Australian Return to Work Coordinator accreditation
n
- practical WHS experience, ideally within commercial or residential construction
n
- experience in injury management and return to work
n
- sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Regulations, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards
n
- experience with SWMS, risk assessments, incident investigations and contractor management
n
- strong computer and systems skills
n
- strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with site teams, managers, builders and external stakeholders
n
- a current driver's licence and own car
n
n
Experience across both construction and manufacturing would be particularly valuable, although strong candidates from either environment are encouraged to apply.
n
What makes this role different?
n
You'll get the variety of working across several businesses, workplaces and projects, while still building ongoing relationships with the teams you support.
n
You won't be auditing from the sidelines. You'll be part of the operational conversation, working with people to identify issues, improve systems and see changes through.
n
You'll also be joining an existing WHS team, giving you support and collaboration while still having plenty of autonomy and direct stakeholder exposure.
n
What we offer
n
n
- permanent full-time employment
n
- flexible working hours, approximately 7.00am-3.30pm or 8.30am-5.00pm
n
- laptop and mobile phone
n
- car allowance
n
- varied office, site and operational work
n
- ongoing professional development
n
- the opportunity to grow with an expanding WHS team.
n
n
If you're a practical WHS professional who enjoys being out in the business, working with people and solving problems, we'd like to hear from you.
n
This role is only open to those with Full and ongoing Australian working rights.
