The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced SAP HCM Consultant to become the recognised subject-matter expert across HR, Payroll and Organisational Management within a complex enterprise environment.
Supporting a workforce-critical SAP landscape, you'll work closely with both business and technology stakeholders to drive system improvements, provide trusted advice and ensure the platform is well positioned for a significant ERP upgrade and modernisation journey.
This is far more than a traditional support role. You'll play a key role in helping an organisation prepare for the future of its ERP landscape while ensuring critical HR and Payroll systems continue to meet the needs of a large and operationally complex workforce.

About the Role
As the SAP HCM Consultant, you will act as the primary functional expert across the HCM domain, partnering with HR teams, Payroll specialists, business leaders and technology stakeholders to optimise system performance and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
You will provide guidance on system capability, lead the investigation and resolution of complex issues, support enhancement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing evolution of workforce technology platforms.
Working within a large enterprise environment, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions, improve processes and help shape the future direction of critical HR and Payroll capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional leadership across SAP HCM,
Payroll and Organisational Management.
- Support and optimise a complex SAP HCM environment, ensuring ongoing stability and performance.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand business requirements and challenges.
- Translate business needs into practical and effective system solutions.
- Support configuration, testing, troubleshooting and enhancement activities.
- Provide expert advice on workforce management, HR and Payroll processes.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the ongoing maturity of application support capabilities.
- Work closely with technology teams and business leaders to support future ERP initiatives and platform evolution.
About You To be successful in this position, you'll bring:
- Extensive experience working as a SAP HCM Consultant within large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP Payroll and Organisational Management.
- Hands-on experience across SAP HCM configuration, support, testing and issue resolution.
- Experience supporting high-volume payroll environments where accuracy, reliability and compliance are critical.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong workshop facilitation, business analysis and requirements-gathering capability.
- A track record of identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and delivering practical outcomes.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA programs, ERP upgrades or broader ERP transformation initiatives will be highly regarded.
