The Position:

We are seeking a qualified, engaging and enthusiastic Secondary HASS Teacher to join our thriving HASS Department.

The King’s College HASS Department offers a dynamic curriculum across Years 7 to 12, including Year 7 to 10 HASS and senior secondary HASS. Current offerings include General Careers and Employability, Certificate II Work Skills, Certificate III Business, ATAR Economics, ATAR Modern History and ATAR Politics and Law.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging and purposeful HASS learning experiences for Secondary students.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for helping students understand and enjoy HASS.
- Plan and implement differentiated teaching and learning programs that support a range of student needs.




- Create a classroom environment where students feel secure, known, valued and challenged.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, the Heads of Learning Areas, Deans, pastoral staff and College leaders.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, families and staff.
- Support student wellbeing, behaviour, engagement and academic growth.
- Contribute positively to the Christian culture, community life and reputation of the College.
- Uphold the College’s values, policies, professional expectations and child safe practices.

About You

- Committed Christian who has demonstrated personal faith.
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification and current TRBWA registration.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Show a commitment to high-quality teaching, student wellbeing and skilled growth.
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative within the scope of the role.
