Security Officer

Due to structural changes within the team, new opportunities have opened in our security team.

In this newly created role, you’ll support the Precinct Protection & Logistics Manager, Security Supervisor and Security team in the day-to-day operations, helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all. From major events to the Ekka, you’ll play a key part in delivering smooth operations, excellent customer service, and a secure experience for staff, visitors, and guests alike.

We are offering casual and permanent, part-time opportunities

Key Accountabilities:

- Support the Security team in maintaining the safety and security of RNA staff, patrons, stakeholders, and assets.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, duty statements, and event security standing orders.
- Promote and uphold occupational health and safety, fire safety, and crime prevention initiatives; administer First Aid and support emergency response as required.
- Supervise Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and crowd control activities, ensuring strict adherence to Queensland Liquor Laws.
- Prepare and maintain detailed security documentation, including incident reports, hazard and risk assessments, and daily operational logs.
- Oversee daily security operations, including patrols, lock-up procedures, alarm responses, and cash escort duties.




- Operate the Security Control Room and Building Management System (BMS); manage radio communications and perform associated administrative tasks.
- Manage access control systems, contractor and visitor access, key management, and provide team oversight in the absence of the Precinct Protection & Logistics Manager.
- Escalate any concerns to the line manager (Security Supervsior)

To be successful you will require:

- Security License (Class 1) with Crowd Control & Monitoring
- RSA Certificate (RMLV desirable, not requirement)
- Current QLD Driver's License
- Forklift License (desirable, not requirement)
- CPR & First Aid certified
