A Sydney-based capital advisory firm with a private credit focus is seeking a Senior Associate to support the execution of corporate finance and debt advisory transactions under a principal-led operating model. This role will sit within a principal-led advisory team and focus on financial modelling and analysis, credit papers and information memoranda, and data room/NDA management, working in a close reporting relationship directly with the lead adviser on live mandates.

The engagement will combine hands-on transaction execution, lender-ready analysis and materials, and due diligence coordination, with a strong emphasis on modelling accuracy, understanding lender credit processes, and independently driving defined workstreams to completion. This is a minimum three-month, part-time engagement (2–3 days per week, day-rate structure), with the client based in Sydney (Melbourne also acceptable, hybrid arrangement).

Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyse historical financial performance, budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Review, build and maintain transaction financial models, including downside and sensitivity cases for lender underwriting
- Analyse debt capacity, leverage, liquidity, cash conversion and debt servicing capability across proposed structures
- Prepare lender-ready materials, including financing memoranda, credit papers and transaction summaries
- Coordinate due diligence materials and manage transaction data rooms,

NDAs and information request lists
- Respond to RFIs and lender Q&A;, and support lender identification, screening and transaction positioning
- Analyse and compare indicative proposals and term sheets across pricing, structure, security and covenants
- Support negotiation, documentation and closing workstreams; maintain transaction workplans and progress outstanding items

Your Background

- Approximately 4–8 years of relevant transaction experience — investment banking, corporate finance/transaction advisory, leveraged or acquisition finance, private credit, institutional/corporate banking, debt advisory, or Big 4 deals/corporate finance backgrounds all relevant
- Direct deal execution experience; comfortable across both financial analysis and transaction process management
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including three-statement models and cash flow forecasting
- Strong understanding of leverage, security, covenants and capital structure; familiarity with private credit and working capital facilities
- Capital raising experience preferred; M&A; experience less directly relevant; a pure consulting toolkit is not required
- Able to work independently, take ownership of defined workstreams, and interrogate information rather than simply process it
- Explicit written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders and capital providers
