Role Description The Senior Contract Administrator is a full-time, in office / office role based in Sydney, NSW. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring contract performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting procurement activities.
The Senior Contract
Administrator will collaborate with project managers, finance, and legal teams to mitigate risks, resolve contractual issues, and optimize commercial outcomes. The role also involves preparing reports,
providing contract-related guidance to project teams, and contributing to continuous improvement of contract management processes.
Qualifications
- Strong contract negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated contract management experience, including drafting, reviewing, and administering complex commercial contracts.
- Proficiency in procurement processes, supplier engagement, and commercial evaluation of proposals.
- Well-developed analytical skills for interpreting contract clauses, assessing risks, and supporting sound commercial decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based environments is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, business, commerce, or a related discipline are preferred.
- Proficiency with contract management or ERP systems and standard office software.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Sydney, NSW and contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace.
