We are a well-established crane company based in Burleigh Waters, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Administrator to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced accounts professional who is confident managing all aspects of day-to-day accounts and can work independently while also being an integral part of our administration team. You will take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities and will play an important role in ensuring the financial administration of the business is accurate, organised and maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

GST and BAS preparation support
n
Prepare and submit month end Progress Claims
n
Preparation and processing of journals
n
Accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments
n
Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
n
Month-end processes and reconciliations
n
Maintaining accurate financial records
n
Assisting with reporting and financial administration
n
Job and project-related accounting
n
Working with management and the wider administration team to resolve accounting queries
n
About you
n
5+ years' experience in an accounts role
n
Robust understanding of accounting processes and confident working across a variety of accounting functions
n
Construction industry experience highly desirable, particularly experience working in a business involving projects, plant, equipment, subcontractors or job costing
n
Strong attention to detail and takes pride in accurate work
n
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
n
Can work confidently and independently without constant supervision
n
Proactive and takes ownership of their responsibilities
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Comfortable working as part of a team
n
Can identify discrepancies and resolve issues
n
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
n
