TalentLink has been retained to recruit a Company Accountant for an established, privately owned manufacturing business.

The Role

n

Working closely with the CEO and Fractional CFO,this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Company Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership, working across a broad finance function and being an integral part of a business.

- Ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate, timely and reliable financial information.
n
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, including offshore accounts payable, debtor management and cash collections.
n
- Maintain general ledger, ensuring accuracy, appropriate transaction coding and financial integrity.
n
- Manage month-end close through to trial balance, including preparation and review of accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll journals.
n
- Manage cashflow forecasting and working capital.
n
- BAS, GST, PAYG and other statutory reporting and compliance obligations.
n
- Payroll backup support for payroll, including superannuation, payroll tax and associated compliance.
n
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting efficiencies across the finance function.
n
- Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors,



tax advisors and other professional partners.

About You

n

This role will suit an experienced Company Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function and has the ability over time to step into a Finance Manager function.
n Ideally, you will bring:

n

n
- Experience completing month-end through to trial balance
n
- Sound knowledge of BAS, GST, PAYG and statutory compliance
n
- Confidence working autonomously and communicating with senior management
n
- Create efficiencies through process improvement and automation.
n
- Experience using Xero and Intermediate to advance Excel
n
- Exposure to manufacturing, inventory and costing would be highly regarded.
n
