This role is ideal for an ambitious and technically excellent senior employment lawyer looking for an opportunity to grow their expertise and career, who wants variety, responsibility and exposure to complex workplace matters, rather than narrow legal work. You will support our clients with a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters and grow your client base.

What you’ll be involved in

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of employment law and industrial relations matters, including:

- Delivering pragmatic high level advice on complex workplace issues, including legislative and industrial instrument compliance, restructuring, employee misconduct and workplace investigations.




- Assisting and leading litigation and dispute resolution across federal and state courts and tribunals.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts and other workplace documentation.
- Assisting and leading enterprise agreement strategy and negotiations.
- Managing workplace investigations and legal professional privilege.
- Working across multiple industries and varied clients.
- Mentoring, supervising and reviewing others’ work, fostering professional development.
- Maintaining and deepening existing and current client relationships and revenue generation.

About You? To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A Law degree (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) and Legal Practicing Certificate.
- 5-8 years post-admission employment experience.
- A demonstrated ability to run complex advisory and litigation files from inception to resolution.
- The ability to communicate clearly and translate legal concepts into practical advice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building strong client and professional relationships.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with lawyers and workplace specialists with the ability to develop other junior and professional employees.
