About the role
As the Senior Events Lead, you will provide strategic leadership for the planning, governance and delivery of TAFE Gippsland's events and engagement initiatives. Working within the Marketing team, you will develop and implement an events strategy that strengthens brand reputation, supports organisational objectives and delivers exceptional experiences for students, industry, government, community and partner audiences.
You will partner with executive leaders, senior managers and key stakeholders to provide expert advice on event strategy, stakeholder engagement and brand activation, while building strong relationships with industry, government, sponsors and community organisations to maximise collaboration and organisational impact. Combining strategic oversight with a hands-on approach, you will oversee all aspects of event delivery, including logistics coordination, venue preparation, equipment management and on-site operations to ensure events are delivered professionally, safely and efficiently.
As the deputy to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will also provide leadership support and continuity, assuming delegated responsibilities when required to ensure the effective delivery of marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
About you
You are an experienced and highly organised events and stakeholder engagement professional with a proven ability to plan, coordinate and deliver successful events, programs and engagement activities within complex, multi-site organisations. You excel at managing end-to-end event logistics, ensuring every detail is executed seamlessly while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and stakeholder experience.
A confident communicator and relationship builder,
you develop productive partnerships, understand stakeholder needs and provide responsive, value-added support. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging promotional materials, prepare clear briefs, manage expectations and represent the organisation professionally.
You bring leadership capability, sound judgement and a collaborative approach, supporting team success while contributing to continuous improvement. With a commitment to understanding learner pathways, industry trends and community needs, you are passionate about delivering events and engagement activities that promote educational opportunities and support organisational objectives.
