Description
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including monthly and ad hoc pay runs.
- Maintain payroll data, employee records, leave balances, and payroll reporting.
- Process onboarding, offboarding, and termination payments.
- Respond to payroll and leave enquiries and liaise with payroll providers.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and related legislation.
- Support the transition from outsourced to in-house payroll operations
- Support payroll audits and compliance reviews.
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements and control enhancements.
- Raise purchase orders and support procurement processes.
- Maintain supplier, contract, and fixed asset records.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Drive efficiency improvements across payroll, finance, and administration functions.
- Assist with the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes.
- Provide support across the broader finance team during busy periods and project activity.
Profile
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a complex setting.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax requirements.
- Experience working across payroll, accounts, or finance administration functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong systems capability and confidence improving processes and workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
