The opportunity Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of multiple structural steel projects while providing strategic direction and mentoring to the project delivery team.

Your responsibilities will include





- Leading the successful delivery of multiple structural steel projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme and budget objectives are achieved
- Managing project teams, providing leadership, coaching and technical guidance to Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Overseeing procurement strategies and subcontractor performance
- Managing project budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial outcomes
- Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Reviewing project schedules and ensuring milestones are achieved
- Driving compliance with contractual obligations, Australian Standards, WHS legislation and quality requirements
- Collaborating closely with estimating, detailing, fabrication and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Supporting business development activities and contributing to future project opportunities
- Promoting a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration and continuous improvement

What you'll bring

- Minimum 8–10 years' experience managing structural steel or commercial construction projects
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large-scale commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects
- Proven leadership experience managing project teams and mentoring staff
- Strong commercial and contractual management skills
- Excellent understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection and construction methodologies
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and WHS legislation
- High level of proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- Current Australian Driver Licence
