Senior Quality Engineer – Playwright & JavaScript

CloudMarc is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with strong hands-on Playwright and JavaScript automation experience to join a major enterprise program in Melbourne.

This is a hands-on Quality Engineering role focused on building robust automation coverage across modern web applications, APIs and complex end-to-end customer journeys.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

- Designing, developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript.
- Building reliable and scalable automated test coverage.
- Performing functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
- Developing automated tests across complex web applications.
- Performing API and integration testing.
- Creating and maintaining test scenarios, test cases and test data.
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigating failures and working closely with developers to resolve defects.
- Contributing to Quality Engineering standards and continuous improvement.
- Working closely with engineering, product and delivery teams throughout the SDLC.

What We're Looking For





- Strong commercial experience as a Senior Quality Engineer / Senior Automation Engineer / SDET.
- Strong hands-on Playwright experience – essential.
- Strong JavaScript automation experience – essential.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong web application automation experience.
- API and integration testing experience.
- Strong functional and end-to-end testing fundamentals.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
- Experience working within Agile engineering environments.
- Ability to work independently and contribute technically across the QE function.
- Robust communication and problem-solving skills.
