Help Keep Perth Moving, Even When Plans Change. Every day, thousands of people rely on the Transperth bus network to get where they need to be. But behind the scenes, there is a dedicated team working to ensure services continue running when roads close, major events take over the city, unexpected incidents occur, or large-scale rail replacement services need to be delivered. We're looking for a Service Planner to join that team, helping shape practical solutions that keep communities connected and passengers moving.

In this role, you'll be at the centre of planning and coordinating service disruptions across the metropolitan network. One day you might be working alongside local governments and traffic management providers to develop alternative bus routes around major roadworks. The next, you could be helping plan transport services for a major event, coordinating resources with bus operators, or responding to emerging operational challenges.

You'll collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, balancing customer outcomes, operational requirements and network efficiency to ensure the best possible public transport experience.

What matters most is your ability to think ahead, solve problems and work collaboratively. We recognise that great candidates may come from different backgrounds. You may have experience in bus operations and be looking to broaden your planning expertise, or perhaps you have a traffic management background and want to apply your skills in a public transport environment.

Either way, you'll be joining a friendly and supportive team that genuinely enjoys working together, sharing knowledge and helping each other navigate busy periods. If you're passionate about transport, enjoy making a real impact, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- Experience in the development of public transport plans, including demand forecasting and resource estimation,

scheduling and rostering principles.
- Working knowledge of an urban metropolitan transport system.
- Experience in identifying roads that are suitable for Transperth buses to use for temporary route deviation.
- Experience in on-site coordinating of special events bus operations.
- Experience in representing public transport interests at meetings with stakeholders and at onsite investigations to select appropriate bus route outcomes.
