Exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to lead a team at a Temporary Accommodation site in Carramar.

Key duties
- Empower people who are experiencing homelessness
- Act as a Team Leader and provide day-to-day supervision to Support Workers under management direction
- Support the management team with operational training, feedback and Support Worker performance
- Commit to continuous quality improvement to ensure ongoing well-being for staff and guests
- Monitor guest safety and well-being including MRG and ROSH reports
- Ensure WHS documentation is completed in a timely manner
- In conjunction with Support Workers:
- Assist our guests to find suitable accommodation
- Assist guests to complete private rental applications and other documentation
- Ensure a continuous high level of cleanliness including cleaning bathrooms, floors, and kitchen daily, and changing bed linen
- Monitor food, care packs, and supplies,
and replenish as necessary via our Distribution Centre
- Complete intake forms and other administration tasks as directed
- Update database and maintain records
What you'll need
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role, leading teams in challenging situations
- Strong knowledge of the Housing and Homelessness sector
- Current employment Working with Children Check
- DV Aware Certification or willingness to obtain
- Sound computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Time management, problem-solving skills, and initiative
- Personal maturity, common sense, and self-awareness
- Proven capacity to manage professional boundaries
- An eye for detail and ability to clean to Dignity standards
- Able to listen respectfully to our guests
- The capacity to work with dignity at all times
- Current Drivers Licence and own vehicle
Location: Carramar Position: Permanent Part Time | 1pm to 5pm | Monday to Friday
